As the Director of Operation at Total Task Consultancy, I am proud to emphasise the paramount importance of communication in our commitment to ensuring that our clients and staff are equipped with the most up-to-date communication tools and intelligence. By prioritising effective communication, we empower our team to provide the highest possible level of service to our valued clients.
Total Task Consultancy is honoured to be registered as an “industry sector leader” on the Nationally recognised Cross-Sector Safety and Security Communications (CSSC) platform. This registration enables us to receive security updates directly from the police, other authorities, and industry sector groups and businesses, ensuring that we stay informed and proactive in addressing security and communication challenges.
The CSSC initiative, established in June 2011 by a team of senior security experts, serves as a vital messaging platform that facilitates communication between the private and public sectors on issues concerning security and business resilience. Initially focused on assisting businesses in preparing for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games, CSSC has since evolved to address a wide range of security concerns, from counter-terrorism to cybercrime, public order events, and more.
The success of CSSC led to its expansion across the UK, with regional hubs established to serve different areas of the country. In 2013, CSSC Scotland was formed in preparation for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, followed by the creation of hubs covering the six ‘Eastern’ counties. Today, CSSC has hubs in all regions of the UK, ensuring comprehensive coverage and support for businesses nationwide.
In August 2013, CSSC achieved charitable status, with a clear mission to promote public safety and crime prevention through effective communication and collaboration between the public and private sectors. The CSSC Board of Trustees oversees the charity’s operations, supported by region-specific management boards and dedicated operational teams in each hub.
CSSC’s innovative approach builds on established security networks such as ‘Project Griffin’ and ‘Sister Banks’, providing a platform for the exchange of authoritative safety and security information between government, law enforcement, and private sector businesses of all sizes. By fostering a culture of communication and information sharing, CSSC plays a crucial role in enhancing the safety and security landscape for businesses across the UK.
At Total Task Consultancy, we recognise the significance of effective communication in promoting safety, security, and business resilience. By staying connected with initiatives like CSSC and leveraging the latest communication technologies, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering our clients and staff with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver exceptional service and safeguard our collective well-being.
