Funding your next career
Flexible funding for security, close protection, first aid and specialist training
Starting a new career or advancing an existing one? We're here to help you get there.
A recognised qualification can open doors to careers in close protection, corporate security, event security, residential security, consultancy and specialist operational roles.
Whether you’re transitioning from the Armed Forces, starting a career in the private security industry, or adding new qualifications to progress at work, investing in training is an investment in your future.
Investing in skills that open new opportunities
Paying for training upfront isn’t always practical. That’s why we offer flexible funding options, including ELCAS for eligible military personnel. We’ve also partnered with Payl8r.
ELCAS funding
Eligible military personnel and service leavers can use Enhanced Learning Credits towards selected Highfield-accredited courses, helping to reduce the cost of training for civilian careers.

ELCAS funding for Close Protection training
Use your ELCAS funding for Highfields Level 3 Close Protection
The Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Scheme (ELCAS) is a Ministry of Defence funding programme designed to support service leavers and personnel transitioning from the Armed Forces into civilian careers.
Transitioning from
the military?
ELCAS supports eligible service personnel and veterans by contributing towards approved training costs, helping them gain skills and qualifications for civilian careers.
What does ELCAS
funding cover?
This funding can cover up to 80% of your course fees for approved Level 3 or above qualifications. Our Level 3 Close Protection qualification is ELCAS approved, allowing eligible learners to use their Enhanced Learning Credits towards training costs.
Are you
eligible?
Funding is subject to your ELCAS eligibility and claim limits (up to £1,000 or £2,000 per claim depending on tier). Our team can help signpost you to ELCAS resources and guide you through the enrolment process.
Why former military personnel succeed in security and close protection
Military experience provides an excellent foundation for careers in security.
Many former service personnel already possess highly valued transferable skills, including:
✔ Situational awareness
✔ Leadership
✔ Decision-making under pressure
✔ Risk assessment
✔ Conflict management
✔ Operational planning
✔ Communication and discipline
Our training builds upon these strengths while preparing you for the legal, operational and commercial requirements of today’s private security industry. We aim to help service leavers move confidently into rewarding civilian careers with relevant, respected qualifications.
Partnered with Payl8r
