How is this different from the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
The EFAW is a 1-day qualification suited to lower-risk environments. The FAW is a 3-day qualification covering the full range of workplace first aid, including major illness and injury management. Your employer’s first aid needs assessment determines which is appropriate.
How much does the course cost?
The Level 3 Award for First Aid at Work is priced at £2500. This includes all training delivery, assessment fees, and course materials. Where a combined first aid package is required, this is priced separately. Please contact our team for a full cost breakdown or to discuss group and corporate pricing.
Does the FAW meet the SIA first aid prerequisite for CP licensing?
Yes. The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work meets the Level 3 first aid entry requirement for SIA Close Protection licensing.
Do I need prior first aid knowledge?
No. The course is suitable for those new to first aid as well as those requalifying.
How long is the certificate valid?
Once you have successfully completed the qualification, it is valid for 3 years. Annual refresher of knowledge is recommended in line with HSE guidance.
Can my employer fund my Highfield Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification?
Yes. Many organisations fund workplace first aid training as part of their statutory obligations. Contact us to discuss invoicing arrangements.
What happens if I fail the theory paper?
You may resit the theory paper. Additional learning may be recommended before a resit if you score below 70%. You do not need to repeat practical elements already passed.

The course is delivered and assessed entirely in English. You must be able to read, write, and communicate to a standard that allows you to complete written assessments and engage with instructional content.
